We are located at P 24 Raja Raj Krishna Street in Kolkata. If you are familiar with this part of town, you know it has a lot of history and older buildings. Our place is no different. It’s a traditional spot and we’ve tried to keep it functional for our daily needs. At Kpmg, we don’t have all the modern glass and steel you see in the newer parts of the city. Instead, we have high ceilings and thick walls that keep things a bit cooler. It’s a busy street outside with plenty of people moving about. We spend our hours here mostly looking at screens and talking on the phone. The office has a bit of a cluttered feel because we have so many records and papers to keep track of. We have a small table where we take our breaks and drink some chai. It’s not a place for showing off. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day. The location is good because it’s easy to reach from different parts of Kolkata. We’ve been here for quite some time now and we’re part of the local scenery. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road work, but that is just part of living here. We are just regular people doing our jobs in a classic Kolkata neighborhood. There is no polish here, just a lot of hard work and some old furniture.
