We spend a lot of time on the computer, making sure everything is updated. It’s not glamorous, but it’s important to the people who live here. We see the same retirees and shopkeepers almost every week. We don’t have a script we follow; we just talk to people like human beings. If there’s a problem with an account, we look into it. If someone needs a new card, we get the paperwork started. It’s about being reliable and being here when we say we will be. The weather in Kolkata can be tough, but the branch stays cool enough to be a relief for anyone coming in off the street.
