Kotak Mahindra Bank

Our branch is tucked away at 11 New Road in Alipur, which is one of the older, more established parts of Kolkata. Kotak Mahindra Bank has been here for a while, and the building itself has a bit of that classic city feel to it. It’s a bit different from the newer developments. We don't have a giant flashy sign, but the people in Alipur know where to find us when they need to settle their banking. The office is usually humming with the sound of printers and the low murmur of conversations. We handle everything from basic savings to more complicated stuff, but we do it in a very low-key way. There’s no pressure here. We just want to make sure the numbers are right and the customers are satisfied with their service. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked with cars, but inside we just keep working through our lists. Most of the staff has been here long enough to know the names of the regulars. We aren't trying to be the biggest bank, just the one that’s convenient for this specific neighborhood. It’s a steady job in a nice part of town. We value the routine of opening up, helping the morning crowd, and making sure all the accounts are settled before we head home in the evening. It is a simple way of working but it suits us well.
