At Kkg Exports, we spend most of our time around boxes and tape. Our place is at 87/32 Bose Pukur Road. It’s a busy street and there is always something going on outside our door. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and stacks of items waiting to be sent out. We don't have a big fancy storefront because we aren't really that kind of business. It’s more of a workspace where we get things ready for shipping. We have a small desk near the front where we keep track of the manifests and the addresses. Sometimes the piles of packages get so high you can't see the person on the other side of the room. We have a couple of guys who are really fast at packing, and it’s a good thing because the pickup times are always strict. The weather in Kolkata can make things a bit humid in the warehouse, but we have big fans that help. We’ve been at this Bose Pukur Road location for several years now. We know the tea seller around the corner and the guys at the other shops. It’s a lot of manual labor, lifting and shifting, and checking labels to make sure nothing goes to the wrong city. We don't use a lot of big words or have long meetings. We just look at what needs to go out today and we start moving. It’s just a normal day of keeping things organized.
