Khusboo Studio

Our studio is tucked away at 4/3 H/42 on Bhukailash Road, right in the Babu Bazar area. It is a lively spot to be in, with all the shouting and the market stalls nearby. We have been taking photos here for a good while now. The lighting inside the studio is something we are always messing with to get it just right for whoever walks in. We do a lot of passport photos, which is pretty quick work, but sometimes families come in for a group shot and that takes a lot longer to set up. We have those big backdrops hanging on the wall and a few chairs for people to sit on while they wait. The cameras we use are solid, though we still keep some of the old gear around just because it feels right. Babu Bazar is always crowded, so there is usually someone popping their head in to ask about prices or when their prints will be ready. We try to keep the place tidy but with all the cables and the computer stuff, it is always a bit of a struggle. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out with the customers. It is a small local business and we like being part of the neighborhood. Getting a good smile out of a kid for a photo is probably the hardest part of the job on Bhukailash Road.
