We are based at P-27 Princep Street, right on the 4th floor in Room 4B. This part of Kolkata is always moving and we are right in the middle of it. Our name is Khatu Shyam Vastu Nirmaan Llp. We mostly work on construction projects and we pay attention to Vastu too. It isn't a massive corporate office with glass walls. It is a practical space where we look over blueprints and talk to clients. The lift can be a bit slow sometimes, so we often just take the stairs if we are in a hurry. Being on Princep Street means there is always noise from the street below, but we have gotten used to it. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and making sure the materials arrive on time. It is a small team here, just a few of us trying to keep everything organized. We don't have a marketing department or fancy slogans. We just focus on the building work that needs to get done. Most of our days are spent on the phone or at different sites checking on progress. We try to keep things honest and simple. If there is a problem at a site, we go there and sort it out. That is just how we operate. We have a kettle for tea and some basic furniture. It is a workspace, nothing more. We do our best to make sure the buildings we work on are solid and follow the right principles.
