If you head down to 18 Amratalla Street, you’ll find the office for Kayan Agro Industries & Co. (Pvt.) Ltd. It’s located in a very old part of the city where the streets are narrow and always full of people and carts. The building itself has been there for a long time, and you can tell by the way the walls look and how the stairs creak when you walk up. Our office isn't very big, and we have to be careful about how we use the space. We have some heavy wooden desks and old-fashioned metal filing cabinets that hold years of records. It’s a busy place because we deal with a lot of agro products and there is always a lot of paperwork to go through. We don't have fancy air conditioning in every room, so we rely on the ceiling fans to keep things moving. You can hear the shouting of the vendors outside on Amratalla Street all day long, which gives the place a lot of energy. We don’t really do much in the way of marketing or advertising. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been doing business with us for decades. It’s a family-style environment where we all know each other’s names and how we take our tea. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily shipments and the accounts. It’s a simple, honest way to run a company.
