Our office is tucked away on the fourth floor of 17/1 Lansdowne Terrace in Kolkata. It is one of those old-school buildings that has a lot of character, even if the stairs can be a bit of a climb on a hot day. We spend most of our time dealing with building projects and paperwork. Kansihta Nirmaan is really just a group of us who know the construction business inside and out. We don’t have any big corporate signs or a lobby with a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find us sitting around a large table covered in maps and site plans. Lansdowne is a busy part of town, but once you get up to the fourth floor, things settle down a bit. We’ve been at this for a while, mostly sticking to what we know. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used thing in the room besides the calculators. We handle the usual headaches that come with building things in a big city like Kolkata. There is always some permit to track down or a supplier who is running late. We don't make a big deal out of it, we just handle it. It is how things get done. Some days are longer than others, especially when a project is nearing a deadline. We just keep our heads down and stay busy. If you happen to be in the area, you might see us heading out for lunch at one of the local spots nearby.
