Up on the 8th floor at 16A, Brabourne Road, you will find our main office. Being this high up means we get a bit of a break from the noise of the traffic down below, though you can still hear the horns honking if the windows are open. Kamarhatty Company Limited has deep roots in the jute industry, and this office is where the paperwork and the planning happen. It is a busy part of town. If you know Brabourne Road, you know how packed it gets with people and vehicles every single day. Our space is filled with desks, old filing cabinets, and the constant sound of phones ringing or keyboards tapping away. We aren't really into modern office designs with bean bags or glass walls. It is a functional place where people come to work. We spend a lot of time talking to the mills and making sure the logistics side of things is moving along. There is always someone coming in with a document to sign or a report to hand over. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so there is a rhythm to the day that everyone just knows. We grab lunch from the local stalls nearby or bring it from home. It is just a straightforward business operation in a very busy part of the city. We keep our heads down and get through the pile of work on our desks.
