If you are looking for us, we are up on the 15th floor of the Chatterjee International Center at 33A Jawaharlal Nehru Road. It is one of those big buildings in Kolkata that everyone knows. We are in Suit No. 9. Being high up like this gives us a bit of a break from the noise of the street, but the elevators can be a real test of patience. Kakshivat Infracon is what we call ourselves. We do a lot of the planning and the behind-the-scenes work for infrastructure projects. It’s a lot of meetings with different people and trying to make sure all the numbers add up. We don't have a fancy reception area with someone to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and find us working at our desks. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big corporate talk. We just want to make sure the projects we are part of actually happen. The 700071 area is the heart of the city, so it’s easy to get to other places from here. Sometimes we stay late because there is a deadline or some paperwork that needs finishing. We are just normal people who have been in this industry for a while. We know how things work in West Bengal and we just try to keep things moving along without too much fuss. It is a lot of hard work and we take it one day at a time.
