You can find us over in Sahapur Colony, at Flat 2 on the first floor of the S9-162/3 building. It’s a very residential area in the 700053 part of Kolkata, which makes it a nice place to work from. We handle property matters, mostly staying within this neighborhood and the nearby parts of the city. Our office is basically a flat that we have turned into a workspace over the years. It has a small kitchen where we make a lot of tea and a main room where we keep all the files and paperwork. Working in the property business in Kolkata means you spend a lot of time talking to different people and trying to make sure everyone is on the same page. It is not always a smooth ride, but we try our best to deal with the problems as they pop up. We don't use any fancy high-tech systems or have a huge staff of people. It is just a few of us who know the Sahapur area really well. We know which buildings are getting old and which ones are being fixed up. Most of our days are spent on the phone or meeting people at their project sites to see how things are going. The colony is usually quite busy, so there is always some noise outside our window. We like the local vibe here and it feels like an honest way to make a living.
