If you ever find yourself over near the Majherhat Railway Station, you’ll probably pass by Eastern Jutex Industries. We are situated in the Muragacha area, which is pretty convenient for us since the trains are right there. The sound of the station is something you just get used to after working here for a few years. At Eastern Jutex, we focus on the day-to-day operations of running a jute-related business. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The facility in Muragacha is where all the processing happens. We have a small team, and most of us have been around for a long time. We know the neighbors and the local shopkeepers. Some days are busier than others, especially when the supplies arrive and we have to unload everything quickly. We don't spend much time on the computer or writing fancy reports. Most of our work is hands-on. The building has seen better days, maybe, but it serves our purpose well enough. You can hear the announcements from the station throughout the day, which helps us keep track of time. We just try to do honest work and stay on top of the orders. Being near Majherhat means we are easy to find if you’re coming by train. We're just a regular group of people working in the jute trade here in this corner of Muragacha.
