At Fabkraft Textiles, we operate out of 27ab Royad Street in Abhinandan. It’s a relatively quiet street compared to the main roads, which we appreciate. The building is an older one, and our space is filled with the smell of new fabric and a bit of dust. We don’t have any fancy showrooms here; it’s mostly just shelves filled with different types of cloth and a few desks for the paperwork. A typical day starts with opening up the shutters and checking what needs to be shipped out. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting, which can be tiring on the back, but it's what we do. The staff is just a handful of local people who know their way around a measuring tape. We use an old computer that takes forever to start up, but it eventually gets the invoices printed. Sometimes customers stop by to pick things up in person, and we usually have a quick chat while we wrap their items in brown paper. There’s a small tea shop on the corner where we get our morning break. It’s not a high-tech operation, just a simple textile business trying to stay organized in a small space. We keep the windows open when it’s not too dusty outside to get a bit of a breeze. It’s a decent place to work and the people here are good.
