The ceilings are very high, which helps keep things a bit cooler during the hot months. Most of our work involves managing industrial interests and making sure the supplies are moving correctly. We have large ledgers and some computers that we use to keep track of everything. The windows are big, but they have some soot on them from the street outside. It is just the way things are in this part of town. We have a small crew of people who have been working at 21 Standroad for their entire careers. We know which floorboards creak and how to get the old lift to work properly. There is no corporate polish here, just a lot of hard work and people who know their jobs inside and out.
