Our office for Jg Engineers is in Building No. 176B, right there on Rashbehari Avenue near Triangular Park. It is a busy part of Kalighat, especially being right opposite NG Medicare. You can always hear the cars and buses honking outside on Sarat Bose Road while we are trying to work on our plans. The space is filled with desks, old files, and rolls of drawings that we have worked on over the months. We spend a lot of time looking at technical details and making sure the math is right for whatever project is on the table. It is not a very quiet place because there is always a phone ringing or someone talking about a site visit. Sometimes we have to go out to where the actual construction is happening, which means leaving the office empty for a bit. The building itself has that old Kolkata feel to it, with high ceilings and some narrow stairs. We have been working from this spot for a while, and the local tea stall nearby knows exactly how we like our drinks. It is mostly just a lot of focused work and dealing with the usual headaches that come with engineering projects. We do not have a big reception area or anything like that, just a functional space where the work gets done. It can be a bit chaotic when deadlines are close, but we are used to the rhythm of this neighborhood now.
