S. A. Exports

We’re located over in the Marine Division, at number 548. Being near the water means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, though it’s usually just hot and humid. S. A. Exports is a small operation focused on the marine side of the trade. The office is basically just a couple of rooms filled with ledgers and old maritime maps. We don't have a lot of modern furniture; mostly just sturdy wooden desks and chairs that have been here since we started. Most of our work involves the ships coming in and out of the port. We spend hours checking lists and making sure the cargo matches the paperwork. It’s a lot of back and forth with the dock workers and the shipping agents. We have a small radio that’s usually playing in the background while we work. The area around here is quite industrial, so there’s a lot of heavy machinery noise. We don't mind it much. It feels like we’re right in the middle of where things are actually happening. We aren't much for big presentations. We just focus on the containers and the manifests. It’s honest work that keeps us busy. When the sun goes down, we usually finish up the last of the filing and head home. The walk to the main road is a bit dusty, but we've gotten used to it after all these years of working at the port.
