Jaiswal Enterprises is over at 49/5/2G, Karl Marx Sarani in the Khidirpur area of Kolkata. If you know this part of the city, you know it is always moving, especially with the docks being so close by. The street is almost always filled with big lorries and people rushing around to get things done. We work out of a fairly modest space here. It is not a huge place, but it is enough for what we need to do every day. We handle various types of goods and supplies that pass through this side of town. Most of our day is spent on our feet, checking on deliveries and talking to the different people we deal with. It gets quite hot and humid in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running all the time. We are not trying to be a big corporate company; we are just a local business trying to do our work properly. The building we are in is an older one, which is common for Khidirpur, and it has its own character. We know the people in the neighboring shops and the guys at the tea stall nearby. It is a friendly enough place where people might stop to talk for a bit. We do not have any fancy marketing or big ads. It is just us at our desks or in the back making sure everything is correct.
