Jagannath Polytex Private Limited

We are based in Stephen House. It is a very old building on Hemanta Basu Sarani. We are on the sixth floor in room 109. Being in Dalhousie means we are right in the heart of the business district. The building has a lot of history. The corridors are long and a bit dark. We like the character of the place. We deal with polytex materials. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it is steady. Our room is packed with files and some samples. We don't have a lot of extra space. We use every inch we have. The elevators in Stephen House can be a bit temperamental sometimes. We often just wait or talk to the other people waiting. It is a busy place with hundreds of different offices. We’ve been here for many years. We know the tea seller downstairs and the security guards. Our work is straightforward. We take orders and manage the supply of polytex. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing budget. Most of our clients find us because someone they know told them about us. It is a very traditional way of doing business in Kolkata. We sit at our desks, do our paperwork, and make our calls. When the day is over, we join the crowd heading to the station. It is a predictable life, and we are fine with that. It works for us.
