We are located at R : 112/9/1 Golf Club Road in the Tollygunge area of Kolkata. It is a pretty lively part of the city to be in every day. The office here at Jacob Engg Ltd isn't anything too fancy, just a regular workspace where we get our technical jobs done. Most mornings start with the sound of the city waking up outside and someone making a pot of tea for the staff. We spend a lot of our time looking at project files and making sure the numbers add up right. Tollygunge has its own rhythm and we have become a part of it over the years. The humidity in Kolkata can be a bit much sometimes, but we keep the fans going and stay focused on the tasks at hand. It is a quiet place inside even when the street outside is noisy with people going to the golf club or heading toward the metro station. We have a small group of people here who have worked together for a while now. We don't really do big meetings or anything corporate like that. Usually, we just talk over the desks when something needs to be figured out. It’s a practical way to work and it seems to suit the kind of engineering things we handle. People know where to find us if they need to drop off papers or discuss a project plan in person.
