This is our branch or office on Banerjeepara Road in Kolkata, at number 39A 1. Even though it is J R Laddha Financial Services Pvt Ltd, it feels very much like a local neighborhood spot. We are in the 700060 area. The street outside can be quite narrow and busy with people going about their business. Inside our office, things are pretty simple. We have our desks, our chairs, and a lot of ledgers. It is the kind of place where you hear the sounds of the neighborhood coming through the windows. We spend our mornings going through the mail and catching up on the financial tasks for the day. It’s steady work. We do not have any flashy decor or a receptionist at a big desk. Usually, if someone walks in, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. We have been in this part of Kolkata for a while, so we know the rhythm of the street. When it’s tax season, we stay late and the office gets even more crowded with papers. We are not trying to be some huge corporate firm; we just want to get the work finished correctly for the people who come to us. It is a lot of sitting and calculating, but we make it through the day with plenty of coffee and conversation. It’s a small team here and we mostly just get along and work.
