J. P. Engineering

We've been here at 975 Frinz Road for a long time now. It’s a busy spot in Barrackpore. Most people around here know where J. P. Engineering is. We just do the work that needs doing. It's usually noisy in the shop, but that’s how it goes with engineering. The neighborhood has changed a bit over the years. We stay busy with whatever comes through the door. Sometimes the weather is too hot, but we keep the machines running. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. Just a workshop with tools and materials everywhere. We spend most of our day dealing with metal and drawings. If you walk down from the main part of town, you'll find us in 24 Parganas North. People drop by to ask questions or check on their orders. We try to keep things organized, though it gets messy when we have a big project going on. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment. It's steady work. We like being part of the local scene here. It’s what we know. Nothing too complicated about it. We just show up every morning and get started on the pile of tasks. Most of the time, we are just focused on getting the measurements right and making sure things fit together like they should. It's a living. Sometimes we run out of tea or the power goes out, but we just wait it out and get back to the metal work when we can.
