International Exports

We’ve been running things out of No. 64/1 Ritchie Road for quite some time. It is not a very large space, but it fits the desks and the filing cabinets we need for the daily paperwork. Most days start early here because the traffic on Ritchie Road gets pretty loud by mid-morning. We focus on international exports, which mostly means a lot of phone calls and checking on shipments that are halfway across the world. Sometimes the internet is slow or a courier doesn't show up on time, but that is just how it goes in this line of work. There are a few of us in the office, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to get the orders out and keep things moving. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy with the ledgers to worry about that. It’s a practical setup. When you spend all day dealing with logistics, you don't really care much for fancy furniture or big signs. We just keep our heads down and handle the export documents as they come in. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied from Monday through Saturday. There is a tea stall nearby where we usually grab a drink in the afternoons when the heat gets to be a bit much.
