Being on Diamond Harbour Road means there is always something going on outside. The traffic can be quite loud, but once you get up to the flat, it’s much quieter. We’ve turned the living area into a workspace for the team at Infosys Technologies Pvt Ltd. There are cables running along the floor and plenty of power strips. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and heat up our lunches. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and the street below. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is out of order, which happens sometimes. We have some old wooden desks that have been with us since we started. It’s a cozy spot, maybe a bit crowded when we have a full house. We don't have a big sign outside, just the apartment number. People usually call us when they are downstairs so we can let them in. It’s a simple, hardworking environment where we just get on with things. We don't really have a big meeting room, we just talk across the desks. It makes things easier to manage. Kolkata is a busy city, but we like our little apartment.
