Independent Individual Consultant

I’m an individual consultant based over at Flat 5C in the Aikyatan building on Gariahat Road. If you know Kolkata, you know this area is always moving and full of life. I’ve been working as an independent for some time now because I got tired of the big office politics. Now, I just take on the consulting jobs that I feel I can actually help with. My flat is where I do most of my thinking and writing. It’s a bit of a climb to the fifth floor, but it’s quiet enough once you’re inside. I don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. I just talk to people, understand what they need, and try to offer some decent advice based on what I’ve learned over the years. Kolkata is a city where relationships matter, so I spend a lot of time just keeping in touch with folks. I don't use any fancy software or have a team of assistants. It’s just me and my notes. Sometimes I meet people at the local cafes if they don't want to come all the way to Gariahat, but mostly I'm right here. It’s a steady way to live, and I like that I can choose who I work with. It feels more like a real job when you're responsible for everything yourself. I have lived in West Bengal all my life and enjoy helping others here.
