You can find us over at Id Card Maker, located at Wz-95/2 in Titarpur. We are tucked away in Tagore Garden and the easiest way to tell people where we are is by mentioning Metro Pillar Number 431. It is a pretty busy part of the city and the sound of the metro passing overhead is something we hear all day long. We make all sorts of identification cards here. The office is functional and maybe a bit cramped because of all the plastic sheets and lamination machines we need. It isn't a glossy corporate office, just a place where work gets done. Most of the time, we are busy cropping photos on the screen or making sure the heat on the laminator is just right. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, which gives us a chance to chat with the other shop owners on the block. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to run the equipment. People from the neighborhood drop in frequently, sometimes just to ask for directions since we are near the pillar. We have been at this for a bit now, and while it is mostly repetitive work, it keeps us busy. We do not do much in terms of fancy talk; we just take the details, print the cards, and hand them over when they are ready. It is a straightforward way to earn a living in a busy city.
