Our center is over at 1B Second Street in Modern Park, which is part of Sontoshpur in Kolkata. It’s a fairly quiet corner compared to the middle of the city. We’ve got West Bengal 700075 as our pin code if you’re looking for it on a map. The street itself is narrow and you might miss the turn if you’re driving too fast. We like it here because it’s not as chaotic as some other parts of Kolkata. Inside, it’s just a regular workspace with some computers and lots of papers scattered around. We spend a lot of time looking at data and doing our research things. The rain can be a real issue sometimes when the street gets a bit of water, but it usually clears up pretty fast. We have a routine where we just get in, start the kettles for some tea, and then settle into the work. It’s not the kind of place where things change every day. It’s more about the steady progress we make on our projects. Most of the people working here live nearby, so it has a local feel to it. We aren't trying to be anything other than what we are, which is just a group of people doing research in a quiet part of town. It works for us and the neighborhood is pretty friendly to us. We stay until the work is finished for the day.
