Hsbc

Our place is on the ground floor of Upendra Apartments in Baksharah. Howrah is a different world compared to the main city across the river. It is a bit more crowded and the roads are narrower. Being in Faridpur, Block No Rth, we get to see everyone coming and going from the apartment complex. The ground floor can get a bit damp when it rains heavily, but we have some mats down to help with that. Inside, it is just a plain office setup. We have our desks pushed against the walls and some cupboards for all the papers. It is not a very large space, so we end up talking to each other quite a bit throughout the day. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that is usually when we take our only real break. Outside, there is always the sound of rickshaws and people talking in the street. It feels very local here. We don't have any big posters or mission statements on the walls. We just come in, do the work that needs doing, and try to keep things tidy. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just sit and chat until it comes back. It is a simple life here at the office. We have been in this spot long enough that the neighbors know our names and we know theirs.
