We have been here at 3 Canal Road for quite some time now. New Alipore is a busy part of Kolkata and being right on Canal Road means there is always something going on outside our windows. You can hear the taxis honking and see people rushing to work in the mornings. Our office is a simple place. We come in, put our bags down, and start the day with some tea. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. Sometimes the humidity gets a bit much, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the front door. We know the neighbors around here well. There is a small tea stall just a few steps away where most of us go during the break. It is not a fancy setup. We just have our desks and chairs and the usual paperwork that piles up. Usually, the morning starts slow and then picks up pace by noon. People come in and out, and we try to keep things moving. We do not have any big slogans or anything like that on the walls. It is just a workspace where we get things done. Being in this part of South Kolkata is nice because everything is accessible. The evening commute can be a bit of a headache with the traffic on the bridge, but that is just part of living here. We just focus on the daily tasks.
