You’ll find us at the Hsbc office at 2 71 Dum Dum Road in Kolkata. This part of the city, 700074, is always moving. The traffic outside can be quite loud, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve been operating out of this West Bengal location for years. It’s a straightforward office setup. We don't have any of those modern glass walls or designer furniture. It’s just functional. We handle the bank stuff for the people around here. Some days are more hectic than others, especially at the start of the month. We just take it one person at a time. The staff here is a mix of locals who know the streets well. We don't pretend to be anything we’re not. We’re just here to make sure the banking side of things runs okay. There’s a lot of history in this part of Kolkata, and we feel like a small part of that. We keep things pretty informal inside. If you need something, you just come in and ask. We don't have any big slogans or missions. We just want to get the numbers right and help people with their transactions. It can get a bit humid in the summer, but we keep the fans going. It’s a plain, honest workspace where we get the job done without any extra drama or fancy talk. That’s how we like to run things here in Dum Dum.
