We have our office right in the middle of Kolkata on R N Mukherjee Road. We are on the 7th floor of building number 18. It is a busy place, very different from the actual farms where the crops are grown. The zip code is 700001, so we are right in the heart of the city. We deal with agricultural business, but from a desk instead of a tractor. The building is one of those old Kolkata structures that has seen better days, but it works for us. There is always a lot of noise from the street below with the yellow taxis honking all day. We spend most of our time talking to suppliers and farmers over the phone. It is not very glamorous work. There are files everywhere and the tea guy comes around a few times a day. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees. It is just a few of us trying to keep the business running smoothly. Being in West Bengal, agriculture is always at the center of everything, even in a big city like this. We handle the logistics and the administrative side of things that the farmers shouldn't have to worry about. It gets pretty hot in the office during the summer months, but we have some fans that keep the air moving. It is just a regular job for us, and we do our best to stay organized. It takes a lot of effort to keep things on track.
