High Mountain Tea Exports Llp

We are located at Chak Garia, in Tower 1 of the Panchasayar area. High Mountain Tea Exports Llp is high up on the 15th floor, so we actually have a pretty great view of the city. It is a bit different from the old, crowded offices in central Kolkata. We focus on tea, which is something we are all quite fond of. Most of our day involves sampling different batches and talking to the gardens up north. The office usually smells like dried leaves, which is a nice perk of the job. We are not a massive tea brand you see on billboards; we mostly handle the export side, sending quality tea to different parts of the world. It is a lot of tasting, grading, and then figuring out the shipping logistics. The building is modern, but inside we still keep things pretty simple. We have our tasting cups and our spreadsheets. Sometimes the samples get delayed, and we have to scramble to meet our deadlines, but we usually figure it out. We are a small team, so everyone does a bit of everything, from packing samples to calling international clients. It is a steady business and we enjoy the process. We do not have a corporate handbook. We just know what good tea should taste like and we try to get it to the right people. It is hard work but very rewarding when a shipment arrives safely.
