Hdfc Slic

Our office is out on Sailen Moulick Sarani, near the P O Hridaypur in the Barasat area. We are part of the North 24 Parganas district here in Kolkata, 700 127. The Hdfc Slic branch is situated in a place that feels more like a neighborhood than a business district. It’s quite a journey for some to get out here, but for the locals, it’s just around the corner. The building is a bit plain, tucked away on the street. Inside, it’s mostly just us and the sound of the ceiling fans. We spend the day processing forms and updating the computer systems. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the windows open to catch any breeze. There’s a lot of history in these streets, and our office has been here for a good while. We don’t have any flashy advertisements out front. If you need us, you usually know where we are already. The paperwork is constant, but we take it one step at a time. Sometimes the local kids play cricket on the Sarani outside, and we have to be careful when we walk out. There is a sweets shop nearby that makes really good sandesh. The floor in our office has these old black and white tiles that are a bit cracked in the corners. The humidity in Barasat can be tough on the paperwork so we store things carefully in cabinets.
