Hashmat Builders & Developers Private Limited is located at 73/A Shakespeare Sarani. A lot of people still call it Theatre Road, though. We’re right in the middle of Kolkata, so there’s never a dull moment outside the window. Our office is a practical space where we handle all the building and development stuff. It’s not a fancy showroom, just a place where work happens. We’ve got a small group of people who have been with us for years. Construction in this city can be complicated with all the old buildings and narrow streets. We spend a lot of time on-site, but the office on Theatre Road is where the planning gets done. We try to be honest about what’s possible and what’s not. There’s no use promising things that can't be delivered. The 700017 area is pretty central, which helps when we need to get across town. You won’t find any corporate slogans on our walls. We’re just regular people trying to make a living in the building trade. Some days the phones don't stop ringing, and other days we're just catching up on files. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously.
