Gold Star International

Gold Star International is right there at 119, B.B. Ganguly Street. It’s a very old part of the city, and our building fits right in with its high ceilings and narrow hallways. The street outside is always full of life, with tea stalls and people rushing everywhere. It can be quite loud, but once you come upstairs to our office, it gets a bit quieter. We handle international trade, which sounds like we should be in a skyscraper, but we prefer being here in the heart of things. The office is full of old filing cabinets and stacks of documents that we need to go through every day. We don't have a big reception area or a coffee machine that does anything fancy. Usually, we just send someone down to the street to get a tray of chai for everyone. Our team is small, and we’ve all been here long enough that we don't need to be told what to do. We don't have a big corporate philosophy or anything. We just focus on making sure our orders are correct and that things are moving as they should. It’s a lot of small details that keep us busy from morning till evening. We don't do much in the way of promotion. People mostly find us through people they know. It’s been working for us for years. We just keep at it and hope for the best with every shipment.
