Gokuler Mithai Private Limited

Gokuler Mithai Private Limited is based out of 65/3 Roy Bahadur Road. It’s a residential-looking area, and we are right there in the mix. The place belongs to Sumita Panja, and that’s where we run things from. We make sweets, mostly the traditional kind. It’s a messy business sometimes with all the milk and sugar everywhere. The kitchen gets really warm when the big pots are boiling. We don’t have a shop front with big glass windows. Most of what we make goes out to other sellers or for special orders people ask for. We use a lot of old recipes that have been around for ages. There isn't any fancy machinery here, just mostly hands-on work. My apron is always stained by the end of the shift. We get started pretty early in the morning, usually before the sun is fully up. Roy Bahadur Road can get quite narrow with traffic, so we have to be careful when the delivery vans arrive. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make stuff that tastes like it should. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh while we work, which makes the long hours go by faster. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. The neighbors sometimes complain about the smell of frying, but mostly they just ask for a taste.
