At Pratima Confectioner, we handle all the sweets and snacks for the people around Mohendra Roy Ln. Our shop is at number 10-N, right on Govinda Khatick Road in the 700046 area of Kolkata. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of people walking by every day on their way to work or home. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and we’ve gotten to know a lot of the regulars who stop in for a quick treat. The shop isn't very large, so it can get a bit cramped when more than a few people are inside at once. We spend most of our day in the back getting everything ready for the shelves. It’s a lot of work, and the heat from the ovens can make it pretty warm in here, especially during the summer months. We don't have any fancy displays or expensive lighting, just the cases for the food we make. Most of the people who buy from us live right here in the local streets. We don't do any big advertising or have a website, we just rely on people knowing we’re here on the corner of Mohendra Roy Ln. It’s a simple life running a confectionery, and we’re happy to be a part of the local community. Every morning starts early with the smell of fresh things cooking in the kitchen.
