Globmark Agro Industries Private Limited is situated on Shayampukur Street in Kolkata. We have a small office on the first floor, in Flat A of building 42/C. It’s an old part of the city, so the streets are narrow and full of history. Working in North Kolkata is different from being in the new industrial zones. You have to deal with the old buildings and the crowded lanes every day. We are an agro industry company, but our administrative side happens here. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with suppliers and checking on shipments. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some desks, chairs, and a lot of files. We prefer it that way because it keeps our overheads low. It can get quite noisy outside with the street vendors and the traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don’t pretend to be a giant multinational. We are just a local business trying to handle agro products efficiently. Sometimes the logistics of getting things delivered to this part of Kolkata are a challenge, but we find ways around it. Our team is small, mostly just people who have lived in the city their whole lives. We take our work seriously but we don’t feel the need to use big words to describe it. It’s just agro business in the heart of the city, keeping things simple and working hard every day.
