You can find Girbani Nirmaan Private Limited on the 4th floor of 17/1 Lansdowne Terrace. It’s a bit of an older building in that part of Kolkata, and the 700026 area is full of history and narrow streets. Climbing up to the 4th floor every day keeps us somewhat fit, I guess. The office itself is pretty basic. We’ve got some desks, a few old chairs, and piles of files that we really should organize better. Working in Lansdowne Terrace means we are close to a lot of things, but it also means the traffic can be a nightmare around lunch time. We handle construction projects from here, mostly focusing on the planning and the paperwork side. It’s a lot of sitting around the table discussing costs and timelines. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy things for us. We just do the work. Some days it feels like we are just moving paper from one side of the desk to the other, but eventually, buildings go up and things get done. The view from the 4th floor isn't much, just the tops of other buildings and the street below. We get our tea from the small shop downstairs and just keep going until the sun goes down. It’s a quiet way to run a business, just focusing on what’s right in front of us. It is just the way we work.
