Ghose Engineering Works

Our place is located at 6D, Krishnaram Bose Street, right in the heart of Shyambazar. It’s an old neighborhood, and our workshop fits right in with the surrounding buildings. Ghose Engineering Works has been operating out of this small street for quite some time. The alley is narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze getting materials in and out. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of machines and the smell of metal. We aren't a big corporation with fancy desks. Most of us are usually out on the floor working on whatever project came in that week. It’s dusty and loud, but that’s just how engineering shops are. We know the people living around here, and they know the sound of our shutters opening in the morning. Sometimes the power acts up or the rain makes things difficult, but we manage somehow. We handle all sorts of repair and fabrication jobs. Nothing is too complicated if you have the right tools and enough time. We take our lunches together near the back. It’s a simple life here on Krishnaram Bose Street. We don’t do much advertising; people usually just find us by word of mouth or by walking past the sign. The work is steady and keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. It's just a local workshop trying to do a decent job every day without any fuss. We like staying busy.
