Down at 11 2 Kali Charan Ghosh Road, life moves at its own pace. This part of Kolkata 50 is where we set up Genius Consultant Ltd. The office is easy to spot if you know the road well enough. It’s got a lived-in feel to it. We aren't big on decorations or anything like that. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with the daily grind to worry about it right now. Every morning, the street starts getting noisy with the rickshaws and people heading to work. We open up the shutters and get things moving. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and figuring things out for people who come in. We don’t have a fancy reception desk with a polished logo. Usually, someone just looks up from their computer when the door opens. The air conditioner makes a bit of a humming sound, but you get used to it after ten minutes. Lunchtime usually involves someone going out to get rolls or whatever is available nearby. It's a practical setup for the kind of work we handle. We’ve been in this building for some time, so we know the security guard and the shopkeepers on the ground floor. It’s a regular office in a regular neighborhood. We just focus on the folders and the emails that need answering before the day ends. It is not always perfect, but we get the work done.
