Our office for G S Computel P Ltd is tucked away in Santoshpur, specifically at 52C Lake East 6Th Road. If you know Kolkata, you know this part of town has a certain rhythm to it. We aren't in a big high-rise building or a fancy IT park. Instead, we work out of this space that feels more like a part of the neighborhood. The walk from the main road isn't too long, and the area around the lake is usually quite pleasant, though the humidity can get to you in the summer months. Inside, it's mostly cables, computers, and the sound of fans humming. We spend a lot of our time looking at screens and trying to figure out technical stuff. It isn’t always glamorous, and sometimes the power goes out or things don't work the way they should, but that’s just how it is. We have a small team here, and we’ve mostly grown used to the tight space and the stacks of hardware in the corners. Every morning starts with opening up the shutters and letting some air in. Neighbors stop by occasionally, and we know the tea stall guy pretty well. We don't spend money on big signs or bright lights. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live nearby in Santoshpur. It’s a practical way to run a company, keeping things grounded and local while we deal with all the digital work.
