Our office is basically an apartment that we use for business. It makes the whole workday feel a bit more relaxed than a cold office building. We have the usual stuff like computers and printers, but we also have a small kitchen area where we make tea. Sarat Bose Road is always humming with activity. There are cars and people everywhere outside. Inside the apartment, it is a bit quieter. We have been here long enough that we know which floorboards creak. It is a comfortable spot. We don't have a big sign out front, so you have to look for the apartment number. Most of our day is spent handling paperwork and talking to people. We aren't a massive company with fancy titles. We just do what needs to be done to keep things moving. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we take the stairs. It is good exercise anyway. Being in this part of Kolkata is convenient for us. We like the neighborhood and the people who live in the other units. It feels like a real community. We are just a small team working out of a regular place, doing the best we can with the space we have.
