Freelancer

I’m located at 23 North Chandmari Road, which is in the P O Nona Chandanpukur area of Barrackpore. Kolkata 700 122 is the zip code. This part of town has a lot of history, and I’ve been here quite a long time. Freelancer is basically just me working from this address. North Chandmari Road isn't too wide, so it feels more like a neighborhood than a commercial street. I have a room set aside for my work with a desk that’s seen better days. It’s cluttered with papers and pens, but I know where everything is. I don't have any employees or a big board of directors. It’s just a one-person operation. I usually start my day with the sound of the morning vendors going by. It’s a very local way to live. I’ve always preferred being in Barrackpore rather than the main city center because it’s a bit more relaxed here. I spend my hours responding to requests and getting the tasks done one by one. There isn't any corporate talk here, just plain English and honest work. Sometimes my neighbors drop by for a chat, which is nice. It’s a modest setup, but it’s mine. I don’t need much more than a decent internet connection and a quiet place to think. That’s pretty much how things go around here every day. I try to keep my workspace tidy, though it doesn't always stay that way.
