Freelance Management Consultant

My office is on the second floor at 58 2 Turf Road here in Kolkata. It’s a fairly old building, but it serves its purpose for the management consulting I do. I’ve been working as a freelancer for several years now, helping small and medium businesses figure out their internal stuff. I don't have a big firm behind me, so it’s just me working directly with the owners. Most of the time, I'm looking at how they organize their teams or how they handle their daily tasks. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s necessary for things to run right. Kolkata is a busy place, and Turf Road has its own character. I like being tucked away on the second floor because it’s a bit quieter than the street level. I don’t use any of those fancy management charts or buzzwords you see in books. I just sit down with people and look at what’s actually happening in their office or shop. Sometimes the solution is just changing how they file things or who talks to who. I’ve lived in this city all my life, so I understand the local way of doing business. It’s just me and my laptop, going through one problem at a time until we find a way to fix it. I try to keep my advice practical and easy to follow. Running a business is hard enough without someone making it more complicated with unnecessary rules and long meetings.
