Freelance Development Professional

I work as a development professional out of the 700 030 area in Kolkata. My work takes me all over West Bengal sometimes, but I mostly stay here in the city. It is a bit of a mixed bag, the kind of things I do. I help with projects that are meant to improve things for people on the ground. It might be about building something or just organizing a community group. I don't have a big fancy office with glass walls. I just work from my desk at home. Kolkata is an old city with a lot of history, and you see that in the work I do every day. I spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting people in small cafes to discuss their plans. There is always something that needs fixing or improving. I try to stay practical about it and not get lost in the paperwork. People come to me when they have a project but don't know how to get it moving. I look at the plans and tell them what I think, honestly. I’ve been doing this for years, so I’ve seen a lot of things succeed and a lot of things fail. I try to learn from all of it. The weather here can be tough, especially the humidity in the summer months, but you just get on with it. I don't use a lot of big words or jargon. I just like to see things get done properly for the people involved.
