Free Lance

Our place is located on Bono Mali Chatterjee Street. It’s one of those older parts of Kolkata where the streets are narrow and there’s always something going on. We are at number 14. It’s not a huge office, just a workspace where we get things done. We’ve been operating out of here for some time now. The vibe in West Bengal is different, things move at their own pace. We kind of like that. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights outside. If you’re looking for us, you just look for the door at 14. Inside, it’s mostly just us working. We handle various tasks that people bring to us. It’s mostly local stuff. Sometimes the tea man comes around and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t really follow a strict corporate schedule. We start when we get in and leave when the work is finished. It’s a simple setup. Some old desks, a few chairs that have seen better days, and our equipment. We don’t see the need for a fancy renovation. The walls have some marks, and the floor creaks a bit, but it feels right for what we do. People in the neighborhood know us. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do honest work and stay out of trouble. Kolkata has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of it here on this street.
