Our workplace is on the 13th floor of the Acropolis tower, located at 1858/1 Rajdanga Main Road in Kasba. We share this building with many other businesses. We are developers and we spend our time working on various property projects around the city. Being in Kasba gives us good access to different parts of Kolkata. We are a small partnership and we like to keep things direct. There’s no big hierarchy here. If there’s a problem on a site, we go there and see it for ourselves. We don't like sitting in the office all day. Developing land or buildings involves a lot of meetings with different people, from local authorities to contractors. It’s a lot of paperwork and even more phone calls. Sometimes it feels like we are always chasing someone for an update. We don't put out a lot of brochures or advertisements. We just do our work and let that speak for itself. The 13th floor is a quiet place to get our planning done before we head out to the dusty sites. We’ve had some tough days where nothing seems to go right, but that’s just how this business is. We don't have any fancy goals. We just want to finish our projects and start the next one without too much trouble. It’s a simple way of working but it suits us just fine. Most of our time is spent on the phone or driving around.
