Everest Cooling Centre

The shop is right here on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road. It’s been at 53/A for a good while now. Most days it’s just us dealing with the heat and trying to keep things running. People stop by when their fridge stops working or the AC starts making that weird rattling noise in the middle of a hot afternoon. We don’t have a big fancy office or anything. It’s just a workspace with tools scattered around and copper pipes leaning against the walls. Usually, one of us is out on a call while someone else stays back to talk to whoever walks in. Park Street gets busy, so there’s always noise coming from outside, but we just get on with the work. Sometimes it’s a simple fix, like a fuse or a bit of cleaning, and other times we have to take the whole thing apart. We don't really do big speeches. We just look at what’s broken and try to get it cold again. The floor is usually covered in some dust and we always have a screwdriver in our pockets. It’s a bit cramped in here with all the spare parts stacked up, but we know where everything is. If you walk past the shop, you’ll probably see us sitting on the stools out front during a tea break. It's just a regular local spot where we deal with machines every day. That’s pretty much the whole story of this place.
