Ernst Young India Gbs

We are located at 12 1 Keyatala Lane in Kolkata, over in the 700029 area. This office is part of the Ernst Young India Gbs setup. It’s a bit different from the big corporate parks you see in other cities. Keyatala Lane is a bit more tucked away, which makes it feel more like a local neighborhood office. We spend our days dealing with global business services, which basically means a lot of data entry and processing for various departments. The building has its own quirks, like the way the light hits the desks in the afternoon. We have a small pantry where we make coffee and chat for a few minutes before getting back to the screens. It’s not the quietest office because there’s always someone talking on a headset, but we get things done. The humidity in Kolkata can be tough, so we’re grateful for the fans and the air conditioning. We don't have a big lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and see everyone at their workstations. It’s a very grounded place to work. We handle the tasks that keep the larger company moving forward. Sometimes we go out for rolls or sweets from the local shops after we finish for the day. It’s a simple routine, and we’ve been at this location for a while now. We like being in this part of the city. It feels like a real community here, away from the main road noise.
