Enviu Netherlands

Our address for Enviu Netherlands is 161 11 Saraswati Flats, located in the Ballygunj Maidan Camp area of Kolkata 700019. It is a bit of an interesting name for a place in Kolkata, but this is where we operate from. The flats are older and have that classic Kolkata feel to them. Our office is basically inside one of these residential units. It is not a shiny glass tower or anything like that. We have some desks pushed against the walls and a lot of books and folders scattered around the rooms. The neighborhood of Ballygunj is quite famous and usually very busy with yellow taxis and people walking everywhere. You can hear the sounds of the city through the windows while we work. We don't have a big staff here, just a small group of us trying to stay organized. Most days are spent on the phone or on the computer, and we usually take a long break for lunch to go get some local food nearby. The office has a bit of a lived-in feel, which we actually prefer over a cold corporate space. It can get a bit humid in the summer months, so we keep the AC running as much as we can. It’s a quiet enough spot once you get inside the building, away from the main road noise of Maidan Camp.
